All From The Mouth series of shows and workshops brought to you by SING! and Beatbox Canada.
Come out for Grand Beatbox Champion River from France, Korean Beatbox Champion Two H and Canadian Beatbox Champion Scott Jackson coming together to deliver a beatbox workshop like no other!
Learn the basics of beatboxing to set your foundation in the art form of beatboxing. Then let River and Two H share some of their special advanced sounds and techniques which led then to becoming champions in the beatbox world while Scott Jackson explains how (with a lot of practice/training) you can use your new found skills for beatboxing to delve into the world of professional career performing.
You can expect these workshops to be fully engaging and for everyone to have a fun time learning some amazing new noises and skills!
Then take your new found skills (or for those well versed in the world of beatboxing, established routines) to the stage for an open mic showcase where everyone has the opportunity to share the stage! A winner for best of show will be selected by our judges and win a prize pack as well as a plaque!
Evening will also consist of live producer showcases and performances from Saint Villain, The Wookiez, Intelx, Chaix, Reazhun, Spenny & Eric Gordon in collaboration with PTRN SLCT!

GREAT NORTH BATTLE 2024 | JUNE 1 & 2
The Great North Battle returns for its 5th edition in Toronto!
Co-presented by SING! The Toronto International Vocal Arts Festival www.singtoronto.com
A true celebration of hip hop shining light on all of the elements with battles, showcases and performances over 2 days.
Saturday June 1st will showcase the worlds of beatboxing, battle rap and beat production coming together at El Mocambo (464 Spadina Ave. #462, Toronto, ON M5T 2G8) open to all ages.
Beatbox Canada in partnership with SING! shall be hosting the seeding rounds/first battle rounds of both the solo/loopstation categories of our stacked international beatbox competition with judge and special guest showcases mixed in.
Our partners in the world of battle rap are the premier battle league KOTD. They will be hosting a 4 person on beat battle rap tournament with 4 hungry MCs all vying for title of champion.
We will also be hosting a special showcase beat production battle featuring Fresh Kils vs Memorex in collaboration with PTRN SLCT that is sure to get your head bobbing.
Sunday June 2nd will feature the conclusion of our beatbox competitons and a breakdance battle in partnership with UBL at the Rec Room (255 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, ON M5V 3M9) open to all ages.
Our breakdance partners at the UBL will be hosting an amazing 7 to Smoke Battle battle, and having judges showcase their skills on the dance floor to start the afternoon.
While all of these elements are happening there shall be live visual art curated by some of the most respected graffiti artists in the city.
We will be joined by acclaimed artist Dylan Hennessy who will be performing a live loop set.
Finally we will conclude our beatbox competitions, with the winner of the Solo battle winning an entry to the Grand Beatbox Battle presented by Swissbeatbox happening in Japan later this year!
